- What Mobile Sports Betting service do we operate?
-
We operate two versions of our mobile Sportsbook, a Mobile Internet Site (aka WAP) and a Web App. They both have the same functionality; the Web App is designed specifically for the iPhone.
- How do I get it on my phone?
-
Three easy ways
Go to http://mobile.sportingbet.com on your phone (don't go type in the www before mobile (eg www.mobile.sportingbet.com) it doesn't work!
Go here even if you have an iPhone, we automatically detect that you are an iPhone and prompt you to download our Web App that has been specifically designed for iPhone
Go to www.sportingbet.com on your PC. Click on Mobile bet tab (top right) and you will be taken through to our mobile page. Once there simply select your country and then enter your mobile number, dropping the leading zero./
If you are in the UK text SBBET to 89700 – we'll send you a link to access the site
If all else fails, go to GOOGLE on your phone, and type in sportingbet. It will give you a link to www.sportingbet.com – click on it and we'll redirect you to our mobile site or download the Web App.
- What is a Web App?
-
A web app is an application accessed via a web browser (eg safari on the iPhone) over the mobile network (or wi-fi)
It looks and acts like an App, the only difference is it is downloaded outside of the app store. Apple have no restrictions for content downloaded outside of the App Store, in fact, the Web App can be found in the Apple Web App store -

- Is the mobile service Secure?
-
Yes, completely. It uses the same HTTPS connection that you computer browser uses.
- How much does it cost?
-
We don't charge you to use this service, the only costs you will need to pay are your standard network operator charges. This can vary from operator to operator therefore it's hard to estimate a real cost, however if you are on a data package (or 'bundle') then you should pay not additional costs for using the sportingbet mobile bet service.
- What is Adult content blocking and how can I be affected?
-
This is a form of security that mobile network operators in the UK have implemented to stop under 18's accessing over 18 content. You might already be 'unblocked', however if you see a message from your operator or from us saying that you are blocked from over 18 content then all you need to do is call your network operator and they will unblock you (as long as you are over 18)
- What phones are supported?
-
We aim to support every phone released in the last 5 years (some even older). The chances are if you have a phone with a colour screen we'll support it. Gone are the days of supported handset lists, there are too many phones being added every month to update the list, we simply provide a service that covers them all. If you do have any problems then we are always here to help – please call 0800 028 0348 (need to include local CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER)
- How do I log in?
-
You will need a Sportingbet username and password to log in. You can use your existing Sportingbet details. If you don't have an account with us yet you can set one up here (link to open an account needed here) or you can register on your mobile using the mobile site.
- What sports are covered by mobile bet?
-
We cover the same extensive range of sports on mobile as we do online. All in play and upcoming events are covered.
- Why do the odds sometimes change when I place a bet?
-
On some phones we don't have the ability to automatically update the odds on the screen, so as the odds change we can't update them unless you hit 'refresh'. This calls us and asks for the latest odds available
- What do I do if I lose my username or password
-
To request a new password click here (link to forgotten password popup), if you have forgotten both your username and password please contact customer services (link to Contact Us screen) and we'll be more than happy to help.
- Can I register for an account with Sportingbet on my mobile?

All you need to do is select "Open an Account" from the main menu and you will be taken to a screen where you just need to fill in your personal details and choose an easy to remember username and password.
